We Had a Blast at Blue Hen Comic Con 2025!
We’re still buzzing from an incredible weekend at Blue Hen Comic Con, held August 16–17 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. What a convention! As your friendly neighborhood 3D-print booth, 3D4c Prints was thrilled to be part of such an energetic, passionate pop culture gathering.
Why This Con Mattered to Us
Blue Hen Comic Con isn’t just another pop culture fest — it’s Delaware’s very own homegrown convention, built by nerds for nerds. With guests ranging from artists and cosplayers to tabletop gaming fans, it was the perfect place for 3D4CPrints to show off what we do best: turning fandom into physical, tangible goodness.
What We Brought to the Table
At our booth, we focused on what we love: 3D-printed cosplay accessories, pop culture items, and custom printed trinkets. Whether someone was looking for a unique prop, a tiny piece of their favorite franchise, or something entirely custom, we had options.
Some of the fan favorites were:
Lightweight cosplay swords and wands
Clickers and fidgets inspired by pop culture icons
Custom-designed props
We loved watching people’s faces when they realized, “Yes — this was printed.” There’s something magical about bringing digital designs into the real world.
Lessons Learned & Takeaways
Prep is everything: Having extra prints, spare parts, and a flexible setup helped us adapt when demand shifted.
Pricing matters: We found that offering a range (from affordable keychains to premium props) hit with different kinds of attendees.
Engagement = growth: Talking with people, understanding what they nerd out about, and making suggestions on the fly really boosted rapport and sales.
Post-con follow-up: We collected emails and commission ideas. We’re already turning sketches from the show into 3D models back at the shop.
What’s Next for 3D4c Prints
Expanding our lineup: Based on feedback, we’re planning to design more fandom-specific props and accessories — think new franchises, custom colors, and more modular pieces.
Commissions galore: We’re opening more slots for custom orders, especially for cosplayers who want one-of-a-kind prints that integrate into their builds.
Con presence: Blue Hen was a home run, and we’re looking to bring our booth to more regional cons. Stay tuned — we might be coming to a con near you.
